The Architects Alliance has served as Architects of Record to the Newark Public Schools, the Wallington Board of Education, the Elizabeth Public Schools, and the Wood-Ridge Board of Education. The firm has prepared and updated long range plans per the Department of Education’s software program, has performed code compliance reviews, prepared multiple feasibility studies and due diligence reports, has developed construction scopes for the School Development Authority, and has undertaken a series of rehabilitation projects including the proposed 54,000 square foot addition and renovation of the Jefferson Elementary School in Wallington which is currently seeking funding via a ROD Grant. 

We have recently completed the renovation of the former headquarters of the state historical society into a K-12 student center for the Newark Public Schools.  We have addressed emergent repairs requiring a rapid delivery, and have converted spaces to optimize use and function. Within a relatively short duration for both design and construction, we have achieved the reconstruction of flood damaged portions of Newark’s Central High School and similarly had converted portions of an existing high school for use as the West Side Ninth Grade Success Academy. 

We have recently conducted an investigation and have prepared a report of conditions for nine schools within the Newark School District. The report documented code deficiencies, health and safety concerns, and construction in need of immediate repair.  Documentation included photographic reports with commentary, site and key plans, schematic diagrams, with projected construction budgets.  These reports formed the basis for the scope of repairs for several emergent repair projects issued via the School Development Authority.
