The Architects Alliance is a service-oriented, professional firm of detail-conscious problem-solvers, offering architectural, planning, and interior design services. Our strength lies in the diversity of our project base.  We are primarily commercial architects with much of our work rooted in the public sector. Our client base includes boards of education, housing authorities, state, county, and municipal governments, corporate entities, and privately held commercial enterprises.

 

Our portfolio includes retail centers, restaurants, automobile dealerships, gymnasiums, daycare centers, educational facilities, student centers, recreational facilities, emergency response buildings, corporate offices, and industrial structures; but we are probably best recognized as a team of renovation experts.

 

Our technical staff is detail-oriented, with the knowledge and expertise necessary to reason through most cause and effect relationships.  As experienced communicators, we have become expert problem solvers. Our forensic investigations are thorough and have earned us a highly regarded reputation among our clients and peers. 

 

We have amassed a widely-diversified portfolio of projects involving building envelope repair and system upgrades. 

Our renovation projects include masonry restorations, roof replacements, window, door, and curtainwall replacements; aesthetic improvements, and related embellishments to enhance the value of the clients’ assets.

 

Our work often focuses on enhancements to promote accessibility, site-related improvements, interior renovations, structural stabilizations, spatial reconfiguration, and adaptive reuse. We have the experience to render an effective system analysis and can help prevent the reoccurrence of problematic conditions that often plague aging structures. 

 

We are strong proponents of early intervention. Through increased interaction with the client during the initial phases of development, we can better define the project scope, translate the owner's desire into programmatic requirements, establish design goals, set cost-effective budgets, and realistically schedule the progress of construction. 

 

The range of our capabilities can be expanded beyond basic architectural services to include programming, master planning, site investigation and analysis, feasibility studies, forensic investigation, expert witness testimony, and project or construction management. 

 

We integrate full-service architectural designs, produce detailed construction documents, and administer the construction contract. The Architects Alliance can further protect the client's interest through hands-on field observation, better project management, and increased supervision during construction.

The Architects Alliance is the successor to two architectural firms.  The practice has been in operation in downtown Newark since 1940 and enjoys an eight-decade history of widely diversified and successful experience.

2020 will represent over three decades that Blase Weimer has personally managed the practice.
